About PTMYSELF

Hi, let me tell you a little about myself.  I have been a practicing physical therapist focusing on optimizing the treatment of orthopedic conditions for well over a decade. I have dedicated the majority of my life to physical therapy. My obsessive tendencies coupled with the tens of thousands of treatment sessions I have performed have led to this program where I truly believe I am outlining my best exercise strategies for people suffering from ongoing shoulder pain.

 

I have found myself frustrated over the years as people are required to pay more and more for insurance which then often does not cover even basic treatment. I see huge expenditures from individuals trying to find a solution to their pain until they finally get to the right place and the right treatment program. I have thought, there has got to be a better option. I believe this program is that option.

 

I designed this program to be something that is doable for nearly everyone. This is NOT physical therapy and is NOT medical treatment. But it is a shoulder exercise program which I believe has the greatest opportunity to encourage a healthy functional shoulder in the average person.  I have a busy job(s), a busy home life and young children I greatly enjoy spending time with. The most frequent resistance I hear to physical therapy is “I just don’t have the time” or “ I don’t have the money” for it.  With this exercise program I have tried to address both of those hurdles. These exercises, if done correctly, should only take 15 minutes or less per day and I am trying to offer this program at a very low cost. I worked to consolidate these exercises to be what I feel are the most beneficial from my years of successful practice.

You should always consult with your physician before starting any exercise program. Remember exercise (including these ones) should never be painful. So if anything at any point doesn't feel right, stop!
